Your Guide to Every Eyelash Extension Out There

They say that eyelashes can tie your whole look together. That's why so many companies came out with varieties of strip lashes. However, it can take ages to put on false eyelashes and then curl and coat them with mascara, and some of us don't have the time to go through all of that every morning. Luckily, we have a solution: lash extensions. If you’re new to this realm and want to find out more, you’re in the right place!

Three kinds of lash extensions are commonly available. The eyelash extension includes classic eyelash extensions, volume eyelash extensions, and hybrid eyelash extensions. Let's talk about each one so you can pick what you would love most.

Classic Eyelash Extensions:

These extensions are meant to make your lashes look naturally full and fluffy. They are designed to be applied at a 1 to 1 ratio, meaning one extension is added to each natural lash. Although they usually only add length and are meant to look soft, the application process takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. The even lash line opens up the eye for a gorgeous look. They come in a range of lengths, diameters, and curl types, so you can easily find your perfect fit.

Volume Eyelash Extensions:

Volume lashes, like the name suggests, are the most voluminous of the three. A range of 2D to 6D lashes is used for this process to achieve both length and volume. Any lash over 4D usually gives the appearance of a strip lash, so the usual thing to do is go under for those who prefer hybrid. These lashes can also be applied with fans that also come pre-made but can easily be made by estheticians. The technique determines the application time with varies from 2- 4 hours. These lashes add more volume but are much lighter than classic eyelash extensions but still come in a range of lengths.

Hybrid Eyelash Extensions:

Hybrid lashes are a step further from natural classic eyelash extensions. They are a mixture of classic and volume eyelash extensions. They are placed strategically to frame the eyes perfectly to get lashes that are long and voluminous but not too heavy. Usually, a 70-30 mixture is used, but this may be altered according to natural lashes or preferences. With these extensions, you can get a fluttery, long, and voluminous look without losing the natural touch.

Which extensions are the best for you?

This choice depends on your preferences and what you're looking for when it comes to your lashes. If you want something natural to don't need to spend time applying mascara or curling your eyelashes, classic eyelash extensions are the best for you. On the other hand, opt for volume lash extensions if you prefer a more voluminous look that substitutes a strip lash. But if you don't like either extreme and choose something in the middle that is deciphered based on your eye and natural lashes, then hybrid eyelash extensions are probably the ones for you.
